SERVE works to address food insecurity throughout Stafford by operating as a healthy food pantry for families in need. Offering 852,742 meals to families in 2025, hardworking volunteers and directors at SERVE uphold the pillars of a community rich in collaboration and having one’s back. Through inclusion, compassion, devotion, and driven acknowledgment of and for different pockets of the area where food insecurity is present, SERVE works to prevent families from slipping through the cracks.

Pushing for long-term change and greater impact in our community, gracious directors and volunteers have urged healthcare providers to list food insecurity in the medical records of patients. Effectively placing food insecurity as a cause not to glance over, SERVE ensures that the problem is targeted in multiple sectors of our community. True, strong impact is fostered through the combating of ignorance, the recognition that there is a problem to be solved. As members of the Stafford community, we can make a difference in tackling a problem that affects more people around us than one may think: 50,864 individuals received 1,090,000 pounds of food in 2025!
